SMART

The Sensory Modality Assessment and Rehabilitation Technique (SMART) was pioneered right here at the RHN to assess the levels of awareness, and functional, sensory and communicative abilities of adults in vegetative or minimally-conscious states.

Its accuracy is so precise it has become a multi-award winning tool and is recognised as the assessment tool of choice*.

Conducted over a three week period by an accredited assessor with subsequent treatment in the following eight weeks.
