Vision
A world where neuro-disability is not seen as a barrier to leading a full and productive life.

Charity mission

  • Our mission is to seek, through the provision of specialist services and research, to enable those with profound or complex disabilities (resulting from damage to the brain, or other areas of the nervous system) to enjoy an optimal quality of life.
  • To work to improve professional skills and knowledge and to raise public awareness of neuro-disability.
  • To create the environment in which capability, rather than disability, prevails; an environment in which the objective is to manage disability and, through technology and therapeutic intervention, enhance residual skills in order to address the practical complications of neuro-disability.
  • To work closely and constructively alongside healthcare, social services, universities and other organisations in collaborative partnership through research, by developing public awareness, by providing professional educational programmes, and through advocacy.

Core values

  • Every individual should be able to enjoy the best quality of life that is possible.
  • Each individual is an important and integral part of the community in which he or she lives, and that each is able to contribute in their own way to the life of that community.
