Job outline
The Speech and Language therapy Service comprises a team of 9 Speech and Language Therapists and two SLT Technical Instructors working across a range of specialist units including the Brain Injury Unit, Neuro-rehabilitation Unit, Neuro-behavioural rehabilitation unit, Ventilator Unit Transitional Rehabilitation Service and Huntington’s disease Unit.
As a team we offer high levels of professional support and supervision as well as regular team meetings. The department is actively involved in research with ongoing support from our research department.
We are highly committed to continuing professional development and have a clinical supervision programme in place for all staff. The department runs a Videofluoroscopy Clinic and weekly FEES clinic. We work closely with the Compass Team who provide and advisory service on assistive technology and communication aid needs of our patients.
