Head of Recreation & Leisure Services (Maternity Cover)
Full time 36 hours per week (6 - 9 months - maternity cover)

Job outline
An opportunity has arisenfor a sociable, creative, enthusiastic and hardworking person to lead our Recreation & Leisure Services department.
The post will be responsible for co-ordinating comprehensive recreational services across the RHN to suit the needs of all residents. This includes the management of a large team co-ordinating services and programmes including our volunteer service, sports and active leisure services, complementary therapies, arts in health projects, activity provision (on and off site) and maintaining resource facilities including our audio library and sensory studio. All programmes are available to meet resident’s needs as part of the importance of on-going holistic care and lifestyle choices particularly for those in long term care. In addition you will be a key part of a cross organisational team ensuring we deliver support to families at RHN through our Carers Corner resource, and developing other opportunities for families.
You will be educated to degree level and be experienced in activity provision ideally within the recreation and leisure field, creative arts and/or healthcare and will have proven management ability for this diverse and large team.
