Haberdashers House

Opening June 2019

Set just behind our main hospital building, Haberdashers House is the newly refurbished, self-contained, purpose built accommodation for up to eleven young disabled adults needing 24 hour nursing care.

A beautiful home from home environment, its large living spaces will provide comfort and accessibility for young people with complex long-term needs allowing them to enjoy a full and active life.

We are looking for a team of people who have a passion for providing excellence in care whilst also providing a lively and vibrant environment to meet the social and emotional needs of these patients.

What will make Haberdashers House special?

It has a large accessible shared kitchen/diner  that can also be used as a quiet space for creative activities and the enclosed easy-access garden spaces with a BBQ and vegetable patch means residents will also be able to spend time outdoors with visiting family and friends.

Residents will also be able to make use of all the facilities that the main hospital offers including our large gardens, the hydrotherapy pool and the assistive technology service.

Why work here?

The RHN is a unique and exciting hospital as well as a nationally recognised research centre.

Our staff are very important to us, so in addition to the excellent care we provide for patients and residents – staff have access to:

  • great learning and development opportunities (such as our Putney nurse and HCA programmes)
  • courses and open lectures
  • a range of social activities onsite – clubs and group activities
  • season ticket loans
  • a subsidised restaurant
  • our occupational health service which includes a range of wellbeing services

You can also find out what it’s like to work here direct from members of staff (watch videos).

If this sounds like the kind of environment you’d like to work in,  or get in touch with our HR Team humanresources@rhn.org.uk to find out more.
