Summary of Position and the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability
The RHN is a leading national centre of excellence, providing adult person-centred services that span the entire care pathway from post-acute rehabilitation services to end-of-life care, for people with complex neuro-disability and their families, underpinned by a strong research and education programme.

The Digital Marketing Officer (DMO) is a newly created role for a dynamic and experienced mid-level professional who will meet the growing demands of the hospital’s digital marketing requirements. The DMO will be integral in driving our digital presence and enhancing our marketing and communications strategy. They will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to deliver compelling internal and external communications, ensuring alignment with our brand identity and maintaining a consistent voice across all internal and external channels.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
• Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone and language for various audiences.
• Strong creative thinking abilities, with a sharp eye for detail and an awareness of current trends in digital and print media.
• Enthusiastic and collaborative mind set, eager to contribute to a diverse range of projects and initiatives.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional growth within the field of Communications and Marketing.
• Skilled in networking and building positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Experience working with Content Management Systems, such as WordPress.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Familiarity with photography and video production techniques.
• Prior experience in digital communications, content creation, and social media management.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.

1. Demonstrate an awareness of RHN’s objectives and contribute to achieving them appropriately.
2. Help to deliver internal and external communications work that is of a high standard and tailored to specific audiences.
3. Make sure all content is branded and in keeping with the RHN house style.
4. Develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues across the RHN.

1. Support internal communications: support the creation and management of impactful internal signage, including posters, leaflets, and digital screensavers.
2. Website maintenance: update the RHN website, ensuring accurate and engaging information and news content. Work with website developers on briefings and other projects.
3. Develop social platforms: Drive the development of engaging content for the hospital’s social media platforms, including but not limited to TikTok, Instagram, and other emerging platforms (Threads).
4. Content, email marketing and campaigning: Collaborate with the Marketing Communications Manager and wider team to strategise, schedule, and curate content for social media channels. Contribute to marketing and email campaigns, leveraging your creativity and strategic thinking.
5. Photography and libraries: Manage and organise the communications team’s photographic and design libraries. Contribute to the enhancement of RHN’s photography portfolio through creative content creation.
6. Support events: Play an integral role in planning and executing internal events, such as the annual ‘RHN Festival’. Provide support for RHN fundraising events, occasionally working flexible hours as needed.
7. Video services: Create compelling design and video content to promote the hospital’s services and fundraising initiatives.
8. Communications on-call: Participate in the communications on-call rota, ensuring out of hours coverage.
