London Landmarks Half Marathon 6th April 2025

I have chosen to raise money for the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability as it is close to my heart, giving my Mum the best care possible. They are a charity run facility using the money raised to provide therapies, activities and so much more for the residents they care for.

Hampton Court Half Marathon 23rd March 2025

Our daughter and myself ( Emily Dean Paula Wyatt)  are running in the half marathon 23rd March. It was Matt’s b-day on 12th March and we had our family visit. Matt had a road accident on 12th May 2024 day after our honeymoon. We married 26th May 2023. Matt spent 19 weeks in Kings college hospital. He came to RHN end September 2024. Matt is  not only looked after in a medical way but also in  a VERY caring way.

Matt myself and our family are so great full for The Royal Hospital For Neuro-disability and this marathon is the least we can do.

Volunteering at RHN for the past 3yrs

In 2018, my Grandad (Peter May) suffered a stroke and was later cared for at the

Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability (RHN), a facility that specializes in caring for

individuals with severe brain injuries or neurological conditions. The time my

Grandad spent rehabilitating under the care of the RHN was filled with smiles, love,

and deep appreciation from everyone who loved him.

My grandfather Barney Grimes is a resident at RHN. He had a major accident 2 years ago.

As a physiotherapists at the Royal Hospital for Neuro Disability, we have the privilege of working alongside incredible patients every day—people who show immense strength and resilience in their journey to recovery. Helping them regain independence, rebuild confidence, and improve their quality of life is what makes our job so rewarding.

Bertie Humpreys – Bertie Humphreys is fundraising for Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability

In September last year, a very close family member suffered a life altering head injury. It has been a tough time for our family and his friends as he has been left unable to walk, talk and recall memories. He is unable to live independently without 24/7 care. He is currently receiving treatment at the Royal Hospital for Neuro Disability – a charity-ran organisation that provides care and therapies for people with different neurological conditions/brain injuries. If it wasn’t for them, he wouldn’t be alive.

The Royal Hospital for Neuro Disability is an incredible team, making the other patients get the best possible care and chance at life.
