16 Nov 2017 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability, SW15 3SW

Presenters: Interdisciplinary Team, Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability

Interdisciplinary practice is integral to the effective rehabilitation and long-term management of patients following brain injury.  At the RHN we offer our resident’s access to an extensive specialist interdisciplinary team composed of doctors, nurses and healthcare assistants, dental, COMPASS (assistive technology), a wide range of allied health care professionals and Leisure and Family Services. Our aim is to support our residents to achieve their valued rehabilitation goals and optimise their quality of life.

The interdisciplinary teams will be showcasing a snapshot of the collaborative and holistic work that happens daily at the RHN. Our teams come from across the specialist nursing home, specialist services and brain injury units. The presentations are an opportunity for our teams to demonstrate how an effective and cohesive interdisciplinary approach to rehabilitation following brain injury can enhance outcomes of the recovery process for our residents.
