This one day conference is aimed for the multidisciplinary audience involved in the management and care of patients with a severe brain injury who have had a craniectomy.

This one-day conference is aimed for the multidisciplinary audience involved in the management and care of patients with a severe brain injury who have had a craniectomy.

The conference will explore the medical, nursing and therapeutic challenges faced by the multidisciplinary team and will look at all aspects of management from spasticity to equipment.

This event will be an opportunity to meet other clinicians caring for patients in this group, share good practice, care pathways and explore possibilities for further research and education.

Topics covered will include
• neurosurgery
• biomechanics and spasticity management
• medical management
• nursing including tissue viability
• multidisciplinary team involvement including postural management in bed and wheelchair, speech and language, occupational therapy and orthotics and assistive technology
