The Royal Hospital of Neuro-disability in partnership with Mouth Care Matters is delighted to be hosting our inaugural oral health conference on Tuesday 1st October.
Mouth Care Matters is a national oral health training programme to improve the oral health of people in hospitals and other care settings. The work has been developed by the dental team in collaboration with health care professionals at the RHN.
Who should attend
This study day is suitable for all nursing staff and allied health care professionals who provide support for people with neuro-disabilities with mouth care and those who want to improve the quality of care
Learning outcomes will include
- To understand the links between poor oral health and general health
- To learn more about common oral health issues in people with a neuro- disability
- To be able to provide the most appropriate oral care for people with a neuro-disability
- To learn more about how to improve oral health in your care setting
