Sister/Charge Nurse – rehab services
Salary: £33,913-44,730
Permanent, full-time (37.5 hours a week)
The RHN is a leading national centre of excellence, providing adult person-centred services that span the entire care pathway – from post-acute rehabilitation services to end of life care. We care for people with complex neuro-disability and their families, underpinned by a strong research and education programme.
The Sister/Charge Nurse will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to deliver a high standard of care to the patients and residents of the hospital.
Our Brain Injury Service team is delighted to announce the further roll-out of the Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse position on Drapers ward. The role already operates successfully in several areas of the organisation, and will now be introduced on a substantive basis.
>We are seeking nurse leaders who can support ward managers to help build a confident, high-quality and caring team who are experts in their field. You’ll be responsible for championing rehabilitation nursing and supporting nursing staff, while working alongside other multi-disciplinary colleagues.
As part of the leadership team at the RHN, key responsibilities include the human resource and financial management of the ward. You’ll make sure the 24-hour nursing service is covered by appropriate rostering and skill mix, facilitate multi-disciplinary team working and monitor/participate in providing patient care.
Successful applicants will have:
- Proven interpersonal skills and a demonstrable ability to handle complex communications
- Demonstrable experience of leadership, management and multi-disciplinary team working
- A management qualification (or willingness to undertake management studies)
- A teaching/mentoring qualification
- Experience of managing complex workloads and competing priorities
