Recognising and responding to the deteriorating patient
This one-day course is for allied health professionals and nurses, to develop skills in recognising and responding to clinical deterioration.
It will enhance your skills for team participation in assessment and management of clinical emergencies.
Clinical deterioration can happen at any stage during a patient’s stay. Patients are particularly vulnerable following an emergency attendance, after surgery and during recovery from critical illness. Often it is a support worker or receptionist that first encounters early signs of clinical deterioration and it is essential they have knowledge and skills to act on this.
