UKABIF Short Film Award 2018

Music therapist Bernice Chu, art room technician Lauren Nicholas and art room assistant Kristina Flolo have won the UKABIF Short film Award 2018.

They worked through the summer with patients and residents to produce an animated film, with patient artwork, music composed by a patient, and narrated by a patient about what it is like to live with a brain injury.

Therapy manager, Katie Richards, said

I was so excited to hear that the video won. Using artwork and music composed by our patients they told the story of what it is like to have a brain injury from a patient’s perspective. The award was very well deserved and I’m so proud of them for creating such an amazing video.
