In Memory of Peter Stormonth Darling

23 September 2019

We were very sad to hear of the death of  Peter Stormonth Darling, who died peacefully on 16 September, and will be greatly missed by everyone at the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability.

Peter had been a generous supporter, and great advocate, of the RHN since the late 1990s, both individually and through his family trust. In recent years he focused on our research work and heritage. His most recent gift was for Amy Pundole’s research about improving criteria for emergence from disorders of consciousness.  He also donated for a heritage conservation plan which is helping us to renovate our historic building, and supports the provision of 21st century care in a beautiful heritage building.

He is survived by Charlotte, and his daughters, Christa, Iona, and Arabella, who have kindly asked for donations to go to the RHN in lieu of flowers.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends, and we extend our sympathy to them.
