Popular as ever, Row Hard 2016 was held at home at the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability in Putney for the first time.

Teams came from Wates, Crewroom Putney, Onex, Cowan Architects, the Roehampton Club, H+H Fire, Loans 2 Go, Design My Night, Astro Communications, and staff teams from the RHN battled it out in the grandeur of the Assembly Room.

RHN teams came in their traditional fancy dress, with the speech and language therapists, the Miming Couplets, winning the best dressed prize.

The teams row 2,000 metres in relay, and raised over £10,000, which will be used to fund custom wheelchairs for people with brain injury.  For the second year running, the highest fundraisers were Astro Communications.

The fastest women’s team was the staff team from Wellesley ward, and the overall winners were the Roehampton Club

Clif Bars provided the pre-race fuel, and competitors were given a pasta and pizza feast, as well as a free bar.

Jaxx, a former patient, spoke to everyone about her time at the RHN and how it had made her  rehabilitation journey possible after she had been hit by a bus.
